It was okay for a short story but the ending left the reader hanging. The story was well written and the story line was easy to follow. The author drew the reader in. The story had intrigue, suspense, danger, adventure, and romance. Because the story was a short story it went fast, robbed, stranded in enemy territory, a plot is taking place, a beautiful girl involved, attraction at first sight, gets physical quickly, hero aids the lady in distress although she is pretty good herself, then they ride off. But the story just ends with them hiding and talking about marriage. Question:: Did they marry? What happen to the evil guardian and fiancé? I hate when stories don't wrap things up but as I said it was okay. Would I read again? NoProduct details

A Holiday Gamble edition by Jane Feather Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This is one of my favorite authors--I love the way she tells a story--and I admire the heroine! For me that is important--I gotta like them!
Excellent writer and storyline is well thought out.
I truly enjoy anything that Jane Feather writes. My only gripe with this story is that it was too short. I wanted more, I wanted a chase and another confrontation for the heroine, hence the four stars.
A Holiday Gamble is an intriguing short story, but should be at least a novella. It comes to a conclusion, but leaves too many loose ends, leaving me dissatisfied. I'd've given it 4 stars if the author had tied up the end.
Love Jane Feather.
This is my first experience with JF and it was enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the complex mystery/suspense aspect which was very unique. The romance was rushed. The main and secondary characters were well drawn. Nice historical details. I look forward to reading more of her books.
of fortunes at about the 85% mark? Other than the absence of that traditional Regency plot device, it was a sexy engaging tale.
